Prof. Abdul-Aziz Iddrisu is currently an Associate professor in banking and finance at the Banking Technology and Finance Department of Kumasi Technical University, Ghana. He completed his PhD in Finance at the Wits Business School, University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa, one of Africa's pride in the league of top universities in the world. His doctoral work investigated monetary policy characterization and transmission effectiveness at the national and regional levels in inflation targeting context. He holds an MSc in Finance and Management from Cranfield University's School of Management, one of UK's elite business schools. He also holds a BA in Economics and Law from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

Prior to joining Kumasi Technical University, he had worked as a Financial Services Researcher at WWCP Limited in the UK where he co-authored several treasury management manuals for multinational banks and other international institutions such as JP Morgan Chase, Association for Financial Professionals (AFP), Industrial & Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) and Santader. He was also part of the research team at WWCP Limited that researched and compiled a world-class finance and treassury management handbook for the Africa operations of Barclays Bank UK in collaboration with ABSA Bank of South Africa in 2012. At WWCP Limited, he was in charge of research on countries in Africa, Middle East and some parts of Asia. His research also focused on the macroeconomic environment of the various countries covered, treasury and cash management practices, banking sector performances, M&A activities, payment systems and regulatory frameworks of various financial markets. Abdul-Aziz Iddrisu also came to Kumasi Technical University with extensive banking sector experience in Ghana, having worked as Credit Analyst and Account Relationship Officer respectively at CAL Bank Limited where he also did his national service.

His research articles have been published in high-profile peer-reviewed journals, including but not limited to, Food Policy, Central Bank Review, African Development Review, Quality and Quantity and Global Business and Economics Review. Prof. Abdul-Aziz Iddrisu's research interest spans monetary policy, banking sector efficiency and stability, international finance, foreign direct investment, development finance, corporate finance, health economics and other related areas.
