Dr. Dennis Boahene Osei

Dennis Boahene Osei is an economist with years of experience in teaching and conducting top- notch research. Presently, he is a Principal Consultant and Associate Editor of the Ghanaian Journal of Economics at the AREF Consult. He also holds a Research Associate position at the Centre on African Philanthropy and Social Investment (CAPSI). Dennis has previously worked as a research assistant at the Wits Business School, University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa, and a course instructor at the Institute of Education (Akropong Campus) and College of Distance Education (Koforidua Campus), University of Cape Coast, Ghana.

Dennis has exceptional knowledge in economics, applied econometrics and evidence-based research. His research interest includes but not limited to development economics, international economics, financial economics, innovation economics, philanthropy, and impact investment. He has authored a number of peer-reviewed articles in leading scholarly journals and chapters in the Palgrave Handbook of Africa's Economic Sectors.

Dennis obtained his PhD from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa. He also holds Bachelor's and Master of philosophy degrees in Economics from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. He is a Chartered Financial Economist (Ch. Fe) attained from the Association of Certified Chartered Economist (ACCE), Global Academy of Finance and Management, U.S.A.
