Mr. Edwin Teye Sosi

Edwin is a Business Management expert, a Social Equity advocate, and a promoter of Education. He obtained a Master of Science degree in Management Economics from Xiamen University in China and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Geography from the University of Cape Coast in Ghana.

He is interested in Applied Microeconomics, Managerial Economics, Economics of Education, and Experimental Economics. He is an ardent promoter of data-driven strategic decision making and research-driven education policy. He is currently pursuing his passion for using experimental games and randomized control trials to investigate how economic agents respond to incentives.

Edwin's future work seeks to draw upon models of investment, incentives, optimal pricing, social insurance, and behavioural economics to investigate how equity, access, and optimal returns on higher education can be achieved globally.

Previously, he worked with the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development in Ghana as an Assistant Budget Analyst. He also served as an Economics instructor at Deks Educational Institute in Ghana, where he was awarded the overall best instructor award in 2017. He also helped in promoting the international master’s program of the Wang Yanan Institute for Studies in Economics, Xiamen University, China, where he served as a Graduate Assistant and ambassador for the international programs.
