Dr. Simeon Coleman

Simeon Coleman is a faculty member in the Economics division with the School of Business and Economics, Loughborough University, UK. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics and an M.Sc. in International Development and Finance, both from the University of Leicester, UK. He obtained his B.Sc. degree in Agricultural Engineering with first class honours from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana. He has previously held academic positions at Leicester University and Nottingham Trent University. His current teaching includes Development Economics, Macroeconomics for Financial Studies and International Money and Finance.

Simeon has a keen research interest in the economics of developing and emerging countries, particularly in Africa. He serves in the editorial boards of SN Business & Economics and Finance, and the African Review of Economics and Finance. He has published in journals including Economics Letters, International Journal of Finance and Economics, Journal of Macroeconomics, Technological Forecasting and Change, Journal of Government and Economics among others.

Simeon's consulting and research interest is within the area of applied development policy formulation and development finance. He has consulted widely for the International Growth Centre, The African Development Bank, The United Nations World Institute for Development Economic Research, and The Economic Community of West African States.
